We finnished the activity at 9h00z this morning. We have 17495 qso in the log from 160 to 2m. We want to thanks all hams of Jersey Amateur Radio Society and specially Dieter MJ1CYD who help us all along the activity. Thanks a lot to all of you for QSO. We wish you an happy 2008 with plenty of DX stations in the log.

Friday, January 4th 2008:

We have almost 13000 qso at the moment. Today we made hundreds of QSO with Japan on 80 and 40m all along the day, just amazing ! Their signals were stronger than europeans ! 10 and 12 m were very good today. We concentrate our activity on 10m and nearly 400 qso have been logged CW & SSB. Tonight we have strong winds (force6) and one leg of the 160m dipole is broken so do not expect us tonight. We will repair tomorrow and try to enter into the EUCW 160m contest. Look for us also into the ARRL RTTY Roundup. Logs have been uploaded.

Thursday, January 3rd 2008 :

Still very windy weather here on Jersey but all antennas are still on top of their masts. The QSO rate is good even if from time to time we are QRM by some lids specially on 80 and 40m. We will try to make more CW on 30m, 17m & 20m as it seams to be needed by most of you. RTTY will be concentrated on 20m to give at least a qso to everyone. We got many mails asking for sked on HF but it's not really easy to manage. Anyway, we'll do our best to fit with the differents requests. We started today on 2m FSK441 meteor scatter and we already have good results. Tonight seams to be the best time so we'll be on the air on 144.354 calling 1st period of 30s.

Logs have been uploaded up to 13h00z.

Monday, January 1st 2008 :

First of all Happy New Year 2008. We made a little party here with french goods (wines, foie gras...) and some scottish wisky.... was very nice ! I will upload the pictures tommorow I guess.

We had a great time yesterday on HF and also on VHF. Pile up are not so big but sometime it's hard work to pick up the signals in the mess... No technical problem or the moment, all is going fine. We run the 4 stations as much as possible but sometime we do not have enough bands open to do it. From today we will keep an eye on the Meteor Scater on 2m. We'll try FSK441 and CW and maybe phone is conditions are fine. Many JA on 80/40m and US on 160m. We will keep going like this up to the last day. Logs are online for qso up to 20h00z. For any problem, just email me.

Sunday January 30th :

This morning we put up the quad on the telescopic mast and all the guy wires to prevent damages if the high winds show up again. Then the 2m antenna was assembled as well as the amplifier and commutations. We made plenty of VHF QSO all along the afternoon. RTTY score is growing quickly specially when we run two RTTY stations at the same time. Tomorrow we will put up the remaining antennas (80/160) and try to find a possibility to setup a beverage. No winds today...

Saturday January 29th :

We are in Jersey since yesterday afternoon. We made tonight our first QSO and tommorow we will complete the setup. We are a bit late on our schedule because we spent a lot of time rising the antennas. There is not many room and there is gorse everywhere all around the building, sometime up to 2m high..30m GP, 4 square 40m is up. 80 and 160m GP will follow soon.Since our arrival we have strong winds day & night and all antenna work takes more time than usual. Keep an ear on the bands, soon we will arrrive !
